“By faith we are the Body of Christ,
reflecting the Love of Christ,
to a broken world in need of Hope
that is found in Christ Alone”
Looking around us we can see all the hurt and brokenness that this world holds. People go through life seeking to be loved unconditionally, to live life with a purpose, and to have hope in something after death. Many look to the pleasures of the world to find the answers, but the answer is found in Christ alone. The body of Christ is called to go out and reflect the unconditional love of Christ and in doing so people will for the first time know that love is not conditional on how one looks or acts. In receiving this love they we begin to find that their purpose in life is to enjoy God and bring him praise and honor, because they are loved and have hope.
1 Corinthians 12:12-13:7
“Disciples Making Disciples for Christ”
The Church is made up of followers of Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ time there were those in the crowds that followed Christ and there were the twelve that were his disciples. At St. Matthew’s we are seeking to become Disciples of Christ not just followers. Then looking to go out into the world to make more Disciples of Christ. Our prayer is that the Lord would raise up those in our Church to be disciples of Christ and be sent out proclaiming the good news of Jesus being apart of seeing God’s Kingdom come here on earth as it is in heaven.

“Sermon on the Mount”
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common.” Acts 2:42-44
